dreams really do come true

Soooooo.........remember how I received an incredible burn from the sun on saturday? For the past few days since then I have hardly been able to touch my shoulders. Underclothing straps were the worst and I had to shower using a slightly cooler temperature than normally. I have been sleeping naked. WHAT????? Is this blog supposed to be rated G? Oops but it is the truth.

Honestly I have never slept without clothes on before and I truthfully hated sleeping in clothes because my burns couldn't handle it! Okay okay I wasn't completely naked. I had bottoms on but still...topless? I hope Arianne hasn't come into my room to steal some clothes and then been traumatized by my nudity. But now I can handle clothes better and I can touch my skin better.

Here is the fun part. Whilst working today I felt my shoulders and there were little bumps all over them. I pulled my sleeve down a little to reveal that my entire burn had turned to hundreds of tiny white pockets. I have never seen anything like it before! My shoulders and back are completely covered in these tiny blisters of hate from the sun. I guess we really aren't friends after all. Before, the sun just warned me by giving me hives on my arms. Those warnings went unheeded and I am now a walking, talking blister. I wish I could get a picture that truly captures the image. I'll post one as soon as I can take a decent shot.

It doesn't hurt so that's really great. The problem is that my back is super itchy. I can't wait to find my blisters gone and dead skin hanging off me everywhere. My back and shoulders will have dandruff for a while. *sigh*

AND don't you hate it when you do something all day and then dream about it and then have to do it all day the next day??? Yeah...me too. Last night I dreamed that I cleaned an office (Eagle Butte Ranches) and low and behold today is the day I had to clean that office! Luckily for me someone cancelled and we had one less house to do before the office.

I dreaded that office all day long. It's not even hard to clean. At all. In fact it takes two people probably half an hour to clean. No problem really. But there was a problem. I had to clean that office twice today. Once in my dream (I had that dream this morning) and once today at around 2:00. CURSE YOU HOUSE CLEANING JOB!!!! You have now officially infected my dreams. Don't let this happen again or I'll sick my blisters on you!...........okay I'm done now.

i made friends with the sun

Saturday was a great day! I FINALLY got to go to the lake in Chestermere and wakeboard. I was a bit reluctant to try wake boarding again because I haven't been able to go for almost a whole year! I learned just last year with the help of Rick and Burns and after attempt after attempt after attempt I was eventually able to get up instead of being dragged around and swallowing enormous amounts of water.

Wake boarding is like riding a bike. Once you learn...first of all you have no idea how you learned in the first place, but secondly, you don't really forget it either. Thankfully I was able to get up on my first try and kind of try to jump the wake...........haha.

It was the PERFECT morning. Steve Evans, Brittany Fox, Arianne, Daryn, Burns, and I all went out. The lake was calm and beautiful for what we set out to do. It was Daryn's first time trying and Steve's second time trying to get up but unfortunately with no success. Burns attempted a backflip but seriously we need to get that boy a tower..and maybe a better boat..and wake board... so he can be pro already!

Denise was amazing as per usual and bought hot dogs for everyone to roast. She also brought cookies and watermelon. MMMMMmmmmmmmm. A couple of Rick's kids came out with their children and went tubing and boating. Such a great day.

Then Arianne, Daryn, Burns, and I were off to the acoustic/art show. Arianne submitted some of her photography and Burns and I performed four acoustic songs.

1. Modern Nature by Sondre Lerche
2. The Only Exception by Paramore
3. Earthquake by me
4. Marzipan by me

I wrote Marzipan just recently for Arianne and Daryn. I got them to send me poems they had written for each other and I added my own lyrics. Burns learned the words pretty much an hour or two before we performed it. Good job Boonie! :)

All four of us then went to see "How to Train Your Dragon". I can probably now say that I have a favourite movie after watching this one. I LOVE IT!!! That was my second time seeing it within a couple days and I even now wouldn't mind watching it again.

Oh and if you haven't been to Canyon Meadows Cinemas...I recommend it. It is only $5 for a decent theatre experience.

Okay...so apparently you need a boating license nowadays. Maybe I should get one haha! Or maybe I should just concentrate on getting my GDL status off of my already existing driver's license. Yeah that's probably a better idea. Then I can actually be legal driving after midnight hahaha. What a joke. Arianne can't even drive legally after midnight and she is 23!!!

I made friends with the sun that Saturday. Then it stabbed me in the back and burnt me to a crisp. I can hardly sleep and I only wish I wasn't wearing clothes right now. Maybe next time I'll wear sunscreen and we can be better friends.

why

Hello there everyone and anyone who reads my posts. The title of my first post "why" is to make sure I know why I have just created a blog. I have a few reasons:

1. I love to read my sister's blog and see what her cute family is up to, so I thought that maybe my family would like to know what I am up to. I'm not the best at keeping in touch with everyone.
I hardly ever phone home and since Arianne is getting married in about a month and a half...who will know what I'm doing??? How can she let my parents know what kind of trouble I'm getting myself into if she's not around to snitch? Ahaha...just kidding. But really, she probably..I mean..definitely talks to them more than I do. So, mom, sisters, (brothers?), this is for you.

2. Maybe my lovely friends from Raymond would like to know what I'm up to? Well...friends from Raymond, this is for you. Pictures from facebook just might not be sufficient as I don't update my status very often. Mostly updates are just to advertise things such as Arianne's photography and/or concerts that I am involved in.

3. I definitely go on the internet every day and I don't write in my journal as often as I should. Every time I look at journal entries of all the fun adventures I've had I was so glad I wrote it. I want to keep all my adventures close by and not miss anything. Besides, I can type a LOT faster than write so this will be great! So, this blog is for ME. :D
