twenty six

Oh my. I can't believe that when I get married, I will be wed with a 26 year old! Just strange to think about. 

Boonie's birthday was on July 1st and since I was whining and complaining so much Burns decided to let me have my way for his birthday and we went down to Raymond. However, this post is not about our Raymond trip. This post is about our little celebration on Saturday, June 30th. 

Burns arrived the night before from Edmonton at around midnight. Denise and I were frantically making a surprise cake for him for the next day so we had to hide it in her room for an hour or so before we all went to bed. 

Oh yeah and when Kobe saw Boonie come in the backyard gate, he was seriously ecstatic to see him. Kobe was sprinting so low all over the yard and running in circles around Burns. He couldn't stop wagging his tail. It was so precious. 

I started the next day off by running a few errands and letting Boonie sleep in. I then went to his house and we left to get the boy a suit for the wedding! 

It's black by the way so don't get too excited.

 Oh. My. Goodness. I have never seen him look so good.

We then ran a couple other errands together and then went back to his house where his wonderful mommy made him a wonderful surprise birthday lunch! She spoils us so.

Rick went down to Cardston and was waiting for Denise to join him that night.

So happy to be together again after 3 weeks.

What a lovely homemaker I am becoming.

Denise also got Burns a little somethin' somethin'.

What a kid.

It was so perfect though. Denise asked if Burns wanted anything that she could get him for his birthday. I said he would really love a remote controlled helicopter. He's always wanted one and they're not the cheapest things in the world. I've been meaning to get him one but it wasn't the top of my priority list. She then told me she had one in her closet that she and Rick had never gotten out. So perfect!

After lunch we packed our car and Denise caught a ride down with us to Welling where Rick picked her up. Burns and I saw a horse galloping across the sky on our way to Raymond!

I didn't get Burns anything for his birthday (yet) which is so unlike me. We're getting each other snorkel masks for our honeymoon and since we didn't have any time on Saturday to get them, we will another day.
