july first celebrations - sunday

On Sunday we all loaded up and went on out to Waterton for the day. My oh my was it ever gorgeous! No wind. Can you believe it?

On the way there Burns and I had the pleasure of riding in the back seat of Carol and Marshall's car with none other than Nitty Girl! Can you guess who's legs are who's?

Because there was no reception for our phones we weren't able to meet up with Brad and Cassi for quite some time. We lounged on the beach in wait for them.

The stones on the beach were perfect for skipping and throwing in general.

Then we had the pleasure of witnessing Marshall's polar dip. Crazy kid.

Kobe was loving life.

And so were we!

Then Navy took Kobe for a little walk about. Or was it the other way around?

Then it was Natalie's turn.

Natalie got a hold of my phone and started snapping some pics.

This one was supposed to be of me. A pretty good resemblance if you ask me.

Then Naves wanted a turn.

A little later we beach folk became tired of waiting for Brad and Cassi. Marshall and Carol also seemed to have disappeared so we decided to move on to Bear's Hump and hope to catch them on the way. Lucky Nitty having an uncle and auntie to carry her. Or should I say lucky Alex and Joe...?

Too bright for those who forget to bring their sunglasses.

We spotted a few chipmunks.

Burns and I were sitting at the top when who should come up to us but Brad and Cassi! And then Marshie and Carol showed up too!

I love the mountains.

It was pretty dang hot when we got back down the mountain. So much so that Brad decided to take a polar dip himself!

On our way home everyone was too pooped to party.

Except me....

We then enjoyed dinner outside on the new deck that Dad just built. Their yard gets nicer and nicer every year.
