Man it feels like I haven't posted anything in forever and my last post was apparently 6 days ago! Maybe it's just because I haven't done a 10@ for a while?
1. Two weeks of classes have already gone by! Wow at this rate I will be graduated before I know it!
2. I registered for my graduation! The ceremony is in June.
3. I have been volunteering for ARBI and I am still loving it!
4. I go to the UofC gym almost every week day! New record for myself - I jogged on the treadmill for an hour a week ago and today I was on the elliptical for an hour.
5. I can now do 20 man push ups haha. Not consecutively. I do them spread out between 4 sets with one or two minutes between each set. So yesterday I did 4 sets of 5. I can do about 100 crunches (probably more but I get bored by around 50). I need to start doing crunches with weights.
6. Burns is moving back to his parents house. He has moved mostly everything but he still needs to move his bed. His landlord wants to sell the house so he kicked everyone out and most of the guys are going their separate ways. Plus it will be nice for Burns to save a little moola while he's going to school. This means no more make-out sessions for us...which is okay cause we don't do that...we don't even kiss....ever........
7. Speaking of lil Boonie, he found free parking at Mount Royal a lot closer than where he used to park for free. The catch is, in order to park there for free he needs to stay till 10:00pm so the gate opens and he can drive out without paying the toll. It's bitter sweet for me because I now only see him on Thursdays and the weekend but at least it makes me study! This arrangement also allows me to spend a little more time with other friends. If you would like to play with me, please book an appointment haha. Hmm...sounded funnier in my head.
8. I made Arianne's fruit salad and man, she wasn't kidding! That salad is pretty awesome. I'm craving it right now.
9. I'm taking an Art History class and just how Joe found a new appreciation for dance, I found a new appreciation for pieces of artwork. There is so much symbolism put into these pieces that sometimes I think my prof. is just making everything up! It's so crazy! Jan van Eyck invented oil paintings which allowed him to put soooo much detail into every painting. Every jewel in a crown he paints has a light reflection. Every strand of hair is painted. Even the people in the far background were painted using a magnifying glass!
10. The Biebs, Burns, and I are going to Banff on Saturday! Can't wait!
20 man pushups? I've been working out for like 2 weeks now and I highly doubt I will ever EVER be able to even do 1 legit man push up. You should do a separate blog post on your volunteering, it sounds interesting. Crazy about the art class. I can't believe he/she? painted every hair strand. That is insane
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with your work-out commitment! I went running twice this year and worked out with Alex once. Pitiful! You'll be ready for that 10k in no time!
ReplyDeleteCaaaaaaaaan't wait for Banff!
I love this idea - I hope you don't mind if I steal it! Congratulations on the almost graduating thing! I will probably be convocating on the same day as you. If I see you in June a celebratory hi-five is definitely in order.
